"Mississippi" John Barrows joined the Professors in Spring 1998, adding many new dimensions to the band. John plays blues harp, rhythm and slide guitar, and keyboards. John is an accomplished songwriter and his songwriting credits for The Professors include:

During his tenure with The Professors, John was a Graduate Student in the M.C.I.S. Program at Rutgers University. He is now Director of Communications at Cendant Corporation in Parsippany, New Jersey
